Archie
Archie generates a cut sheet for the arch. Cut all the blocks before
construction. The cuts (all halfs) that form the arch and
their off-cuts are numbered identically. Take the opening to spring height,
then using a standard head support, go across the head, laying each cut in its
place, its off-cut on top, and a membrane (aluminum flashing is ideal) between
the two. When the wall is core filled, the flashing around the arch line stops
the concrete. The off-cuts and extra few blocks are removed and you have your
arch. For a Bulls-eye, just lay the wall solid and remove the extra blocks
after core fill.
|
| Archie uses half blocks in the arch, so each arch has 2
identical sets of cuts.A Bulls-eye has 4 sets.
