Incorrect placement can lead to serious concrete structural failures.
Total Length and Total Width are length and width of the concrete slab.
Bar Spacing is the on-center spacing of bars.
Edge Clearance is the distance from the outer edge of the concrete slab to the first bar.
Select Exact Spacing to keep all spaces as entered, adjusting the center spaces smaller if necessary, to fit slab length and width dimensions.
With Exact Spacing, if center spaces are adjusted, they are drawn red in the diagram, and noted in the Running Bar Points list.
Select Equal Spacing to adjust entered bar spacing down to nearest even spacing to suit total length and width.
Equal spacing has the same amount of rebar, but the spacing is reduced to make all spacings equal.
