to re-draw diagram showing post spacing.
Select Adjust One End
to keep all spacings as entered and adjust the last space to suit.

Running Post Centers (to
of each post)
Running paling points (to Near Side of each paling)
For a single stand alone fence with 2 ends, and no end corners, select No Corners
. If 1 end of the fence returns (has a corner) select 1 End Corner
If both ends return, select 2 End Corners
. With corners, the first post is adjusted in equal to the thickness of the rail. See the diagram above for details.
Or drag the Length slider down to ~ 12', select each corner option and see how the post measurements move in the top diagram.
in Paling Gap / Lap to calculate palings overlapped, and draw a paling overlap diagram showing spacing.
Paling Lap is calculated at nearest over or equal to 0.25 x paling width, to fit full palings. (no end cuts).
The first rail (left side diagram) starts outside the center of the first post.
If you select Adjust One End
and Adjust 1st Center
the first center (space between posts 1 and 2)
is adjusted smaller so a rail at length 2 times centers will span the first 3 posts. Eg: if you use 144" Rail Length and 72" Post Centers,
the adjustment closes the first post spacing so the 3rd post centre is at 144". 1 x 144" rail will span the first 2 openings.
Calculate Paling End Gauge from 'Length to Go'

to calculate possible gaps and number of palings to fit evenly.
Select Mark Every number and click entries in list for running measurements.
