Hello! I recently discovered your Tapered Stave Calculator, and it was a lifesaver for my Djembe drum project! I used a store-bought wood vase for the top and your calculator for the bottom segment of the drum. It was super simple to figure out the correct dimensions utilizing your tool. Hi. thanks for your great site, I decided during last years lockdown to get rid of an old garden shed and replace it with a gym to keep fit in, below are a couple of pictures, and along with that I have now lost 60lbs. |
And now on to the next project a much larger summer house for my nephew, complete with storage area and deck area for a hot tub, framing tool used up to now with more photos to follow as we progress. Once again thanks for the great site. Ian in Abingdon Uk |
Hi! It's 24 feet long and almost 8 feet high with 3 arches. Since south is to the right, all the plants will be planted a little to the left. On the northernmost one, I have a grape
(Robert's Red, for the fall color), in the middle we'll put a wisteria (for spring color), and on the southernmost side you can see a clematis (summer color) that is just almost tall
enough to reach the trellis.
I'll also add in some Heavenly Blue morning glories, growing from seed. Both family and friends helped me erect this. 8 foot 4x4's are pretty heavy!
That is an 8-foot fence, and I wanted the trellis to take advantage of the space between the shrubs and the top of the fence.The entire planting area is under a massive oak tree, but I still get flowers.
The grape was my Christmas present :)I had played with a number of placements for the fence slats and none looked quite right. I was so happy to find your website calculator!

I used your tube cutting guide for a bevel cut on a cardboard tube for my rocket.

A bench I built using the kerf spacing calculator, and I actually cut the seat of the bench using a masonry calculator.
You guys should add one for wood, but it worked out fine. Thank you so much!

Not necessarily a project but I've used your gearing calculator to help determine shift points, if changing rear gear ratio would help and also played around with tire size.
It helped me to determine a tire size I could find that allowed me to lose 1 gear going through the lights in the 1\8 mile dragstrip. Thank you very much for putting together a great setup! |

I wanted to build a storage shed with a gambrel roof.
I found the blocklayer.com website and used the design tool to create all my truss parts.

I cut out all of the pieces from the templates and everything fit exactly. Now I am building a barn!
